Here at Van Horn Chevrolet of Plymouth, we know that more and more drivers are looking for SUVs and crossovers these days. At our Chevy dealership near Sheboygan, you’ll find a new model for everyone and many of our favorite vehicles offer more options and features with every new model year. One upgrade we’re excited for is the new turbo engine coming to the 2020 Chevy Blazer, one of our newest models.
The 2020 Chevy Blazer is a sporty crossover with an aggressive stance, so the introduction of a new turbocharged engine makes a lot of sense. This new engine would be standard on the 2LT and 3LT trim levels of the 2020 Chevy Blazer. It’s a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 230 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Expect a more thrilling ride and faster acceleration, but don’t worry too much about fuel economy. This new turbo engine actually uses tripower valvetrain tech and an active fuel management system that turns off parts of the engine when they’re not in use, so you get great performance without taking a hit at the fuel pump.
This new engine won’t replace the standard engine available on the 2020 Chevy Blazer though. The 2020 Chevy Blazer L and LT will both come equipped with the 2.5-liter four-cylinder found in this year’s model, which produces 193 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. The 3.6-liter V6 engine will also still be available, but it will only be found in the range-topping RS and Premier models. This engine will put out 308 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. The 2020 Chevy Blazer will also offer front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options, so there’s something for everyone.
The 2020 Chevy Blazer will arrive in the fall, but in the meantime, you should talk to our Chevy dealers. We’ll make it easy to find your ideal Chevy SUV or crossover!
